CSA FAQ
How much does a CSA cost?
Our CSA share program for the year 2024 is available at a cost of $300, which covers 12 weeks of quality, exceptionally fresh, local, spray-free vegetables. The weekly cost of the program is $25, and each week, you will receive a box of vegetables valued at or above $25.
If you feel like this price is too high or you are worried you will have too many vegetables, consider having a shared membership with a family member or friend, alternating weeks and splitting the membership cost.
What do I get each week?
At Even Hand Farm, we offer a unique experience of eating with the season. Our veggie boxes are filled with fresh vegetables picked at their peak ripeness that are ready for harvest that week. Although the variety of vegetables may vary depending on the weather, you can always expect a bountiful selection. Join us in savouring the taste of seasonal vegetables!

Are your vegetables organic?
Our farm is proud to offer 100% spray-free vegetables that are grown without any chemical pesticides. We use only compost, manure, and certified organic fertilizers, to ensure that our produce is healthy and nutritious. Although we are not certified organic, we are transparent about our farming methods and welcome visitors to our farm to see how we put principles into practice.
When and where do I pick up my vegetable box each week?
For the 2024 season, starting June 25th and running until September 10th, you can pick up your weekly vegetable box at the Minnedosa Post Office parking lot every Tuesday from 4:45 - 5:30 PM.
What if I am running late or cannot pick up my vegetable box on time?
We highly recommend picking up your vegetable box at the assigned date and time to ensure the freshness and quality of your produce. However, we understand that sometimes things come up. In these instances, please contact us if you are able, we will have your box available for pick up at our farm. Please note that any boxes not picked up after 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up day and time will be donated.
What if I will be away or on vacation during a scheduled pick-up day?
We highly recommend that you arrange to collect your box weekly or designate a friend or family member to do so. If, for whatever reason, you absolutely cannot find someone to come pick up your box, alternative arrangements may be discussed with us. Our summertime schedules do not permit much wiggle room but we will do our best to accommodate you.
What happens if there is a crop failure due to weather, disease or other unfortunate events?
In the event of partial or full crop failure, we will do our best to source local vegetables to ensure you receive your weekly supply. Additionally, if a weekly box does not meet the $25 value due to crop failure, we will exceed that value in future boxes when crop harvests are more abundant.
If we run into issues such as spring flooding, or exceptionally cold weather that could delay our start we will ensure a full 12 week of vegetable boxes is distributed by extending into the fall season.
